When you have a dream you have an obligation to do something about it.  Your dream is most powerful when it ignites the dreams of another.

In 2016, 3,400 children's books were published.  

287 of those were about African Americans.

108 of those were written by African Americans. 1

Mary Taris's Strive Publishing is "breaking barriers book by book." Strive is amplifying more voices in the publishing industry by recognizing emerging African-American authors, finding audiences that can impact young readers, and creating opportunities to break down stereotypes.
